Martin DaVinci

An orange cat in round glasses with a quill behind its ear and a leather vest, fixing a brass gear at a wooden workbench

Knowledge has no limits.

AI skills

A Leonardo-style thinking machine: a brain of carved wood with gears, bat wings and a glowing crystal, on a pedestal with a crank mdv-second-brain
An AI skill for Claude Code and Codex, installed as a plugin: persistent project memory for coding agents, kept as an Obsidian vault for each workspace. While you work, the agent records what was done, why and what was learned (a Kanban board, living task and issue notes, daily checkpoints, distilled project knowledge, decisions and ideas), so the next session starts where the last one stopped. It checks the vault for broken links and stale work and tells you what happened in a day or a week. Workspaces never mix, and it does nothing until you run /brain init.
A Leonardo-style mechanical penguin in spectacles with a quill, checking a long scroll, gears and an amber crystal in its chest, on a pedestal with a crank mdv-linux-kernel
An AI skill for Claude Code and Codex that mentors people sending their first Linux kernel patches, with netdev in depth. It does not hide AI use: it asks for evidence tied to the exact code and follows each tree's own rules. Before anything goes out, it checks the patch for the signs of AI slop that maintainers look for (a vague changelog, a wrong Fixes: tag, needless churn), then asks you questions about it, so you only send what you understand. You sign off and send it yourself.

Apps

The GyozaRec dumpling, its toolbar in English and below in six other languages, and the editor over a pizza and a menu marked with an arrow, text, a highlighter, a pen circle, a rectangle, pixelated prices and a redacted password GyozaRec
Fast, cute screen capture for Windows 10 and 11: a rectangle, a window or the full screen to PNG, JPG, MP4 or animated GIF. MP4s with system audio, recordings you can pause, an editor to mark up images, global shortcuts, 9 languages, installer or portable. Entirely local: no uploads, no accounts.
The imouto, a chibi neko girl with pink hair, leaning on a yellow shopping note and saying "Onii-chan! The milk, it's almost six!"; beside it All notes, with the pink Work note shown next to the list Imouto Notes
Sticky notes for Windows 10 and 11 with a chibi neko imouto hanging on them, who reminds you of what is due and nags, a little more each minute, until you tick it. Notes are Markdown files edited as Obsidian's live preview shows them, with pages, pictures, dues, encrypted notes and a window with all of them. 14 languages, no network connection at all. Freeware.
On parchment, a Leonardo-style machine of wood and brass turning a crescent moon with a blue crystal at its heart; beside it three columns, each with an app's icon and name over its phone: Text Editor with a Kotlin file, the history of Scanner, and the grid of pages of PDF Lunaris Essentials
The everyday Android utilities, without the ads: offline, no tracking, no account, only the permissions a tool truly needs. Three so far: Lunaris Text Editor, a text and code editor with 54 highlighted languages, Markdown and HTML preview and reading aloud; Lunaris Scanner, which reads and makes QR codes and barcodes, warns about suspicious links and turns photographed pages into a clean PDF; and Lunaris PDF, a reader that also annotates, fills in forms, reorganizes pages and makes new PDFs. Free software under the GPL.
The FeatherSend feather, a smiling feather carrying an envelope and trailing speed lines, beside the main window with its lists of devices and transfers and its buttons to send files, a folder or the clipboard FeatherSend
Send files, folders and the clipboard between your devices on the local network, on Windows 7 SP1 to 11 and on PCs with little memory (under 15 MB when idle). It talks to the official LocalSend apps on phones and other PCs; between FeatherSend PCs it adds pairing with a code, resumable transfers and clipboard sync. 9 languages, installer or portable, no account and no cloud. Free software under the MIT license.
The MochiReader mochi, a smiling round mochi with a bite out of it reading a red book, beside the window with a Markdown note open, its tab and the buttons for contents, bookmark and read aloud MochiReader
A calm reader for Markdown and EPUB on Windows 10 and 11, which can also read them aloud with the voices already in Windows, sentence by sentence, highlighting each one. Tabs, contents, bookmarks, and every file and book reopened where you stopped. Light and dark themes, English and Italian, installer or portable. Entirely offline, no account. Free software under the GPL.

Tools

Twelve of the tools in a grid: barcode, password, time zones, Discord timestamp, a coin flipped, a d20 rolled, the wheel spun, a QR code, contrast, regex, JSON and a TOTP code MDV Tools
Web tools that each do one job. Nothing leaves your device: no requests once a page has loaded, no account, works offline.

Demos

The cat in each chapter: Inkwell village square, the ship's greenhouse, the street of Red Dust; below, Longmen at night and a card duel in the tourney hall The Scholar Cat RPG
A small retro action-RPG: pixel-art characters in a low-poly world. Folio, the library cat, takes up a quill in four chapters: a village where ink creatures crawl out of a torn codex, a silent ship in deep space, a mining town of the old West, Longmen by the Dragon Gate on the night its lanterns go out. Between them, a card tourney against the people met along the way. Keyboard, gamepad or touch; in English and Italian.
Thirteen of the games side by side: Colonnade large in the middle, the winged cat between marble columns, and twelve others around it The Scholar Cat Cabinet
22+ one-button arcade games with the same cat in each. Space or tap is the only control.
Thirteen of the villages: Borgo delle Lanterne large in the middle, with its pagoda, red bridge and torii, and twelve others around it Borghi in diorama
30+ pixel-art villages to walk around. No 3D models: every sprite pixel is extruded into depth. In Italian.
Four moments of the loop: the orange marble in a zigzag, down a staircase, out of a half-moon rail, among keys left lit Marble Loop
A marble bounces down xylophone keys set in a white wall and plays Mozart, Offenbach and Rossini, in a 45-second loop that never ends. Tap for sound.
