Processing and Fluids
Most standard machines have a 500-electricity local buffer. Supply valid input and room for output. Input/output groups support automation, but slot validation and face rules still apply. Redstone generally inhibits active work through shared machine logic; remove signals during initial commissioning.
| Machine | Inventory/service | Rated active operation |
|---|---|---|
| Arc furnace | Four inputs, six outputs | 8 electricity/tick; 200 work ticks. |
| Electric crusher | Three inputs, six outputs; Base Metals hammer/crusher recipes | 12 electricity/tick. |
| Electric oven | One input/output; food-only furnace recipes | 4 electricity/tick; 100 work ticks. |
| Automated assembler | Twelve inputs, two outputs, reference slot | 16 electricity/tick; 200 progress ticks. |
| Plastic refinery | 2,000 mB tank; petrolplastic output | 12 electricity/tick; 100 ticks and 100 mB accepted oil per ingot. |
| Electric distiller | 1,000 mB input/output each | 16 electricity/active tick; one distillation recipe unit. |
Put the desired product in the reference slot and supply real ingredients in the input group. The reference is a pattern, not consumed stock. The machine searches crafting dependencies recursively, with a default depth limit of five.
Check that the exact recipe can be reached in the server's recipe mode and enough ingredients fit. Finished work can leave progress at zero while the product sits in output; that is not automatically loss of power. A previous recursion concern was investigated rather than established as a current general failure. Report reproducible hangs with the exact reference and stock.
The distiller uses basePower's shared recipes: default two crude to one refined oil, including registered MMD crude aliases. It needs electricity but no solid fuel. Keep input and product routing distinct and allow complete recipe output to fit.
The refinery is different. Its configured default fuels/feedstocks are refined_oil;oil, not every raw crude. One bucket of accepted oil produces ten petrolplastic ingots at the default 100 mB per ingot. Refine Power/Mineralogy crude first unless your pack explicitly changes refinery acceptance.
Place it above fluid with a clear downward shaft. It manages pump_pipe_electric helpers and needs an output route with spare capacity. Capacities: 9,192 electricity, 1,000 mB fluid. Costs: 100 per pipe section, 32 per vertical lift unit, 1,000 base per collection action. A successful collection handles 1,000 mB. Search batches are up to 125 positions at 32/11-tick intervals.
Pumping means collecting actual sources, not duplicating decorative flowing fluid. Count source removals and output. Inventory, tanks, progress and energy should survive complete restart; output blockage must not silently discard stock.
